Sales History

1. Overview & Purpose

What is POS Sales History?
Sales History provides a centralized searchable repository of all completed retail and cashier transactions. It allows store managers to drill down into line items, view payment breakdowns, reprint receipts, and initiate customer return workflows.

2. When to Use Sales History

Customer Receipt Reprint for Corporate Expense & Warranty

A retail customer loses their physical thermal slip and requests an official PDF invoice copy showing itemized VAT breakdowns for corporate expense reimbursement.

Recommended Action:Search invoice number or customer name in Sales History and click Reprint Receipt to issue a duplicate thermal slip or download an official PDF invoice.

Sales Return Eligibility & Warranty Window Verification

A customer brings back an item for exchange; staff must verify if purchase falls within the store 7-day return policy and confirms exact price charged.

Recommended Action:Look up the original invoice to verify purchase date, original unit price, applied promotional discounts, and payment tender used before initiating return approval.

Bank EDC / QRIS Settlement Reconciliation Audits

Finance team reconciles daily bank settlement reports against registered POS electronic transactions to detect failed card authorizations or double-swipe errors.

Recommended Action:Filter Sales History by payment tender (e.g. EDC BCA or QRIS GoPay) and export data to Excel to match batch transaction reference IDs against bank statements.

Cashier Transaction Velocity & Fraud Auditing

Internal audit investigates suspicious patterns of high-value cash transactions voided or discounted during specific cashier duty hours.

Recommended Action:Filter historical invoices by Shift ID and cashier user stamp to inspect exact itemized lines, manual percentage discounts, and minute-by-minute transaction timestamps.

Omnichannel Order Source Analysis (POS vs Online vs App)

Operations team evaluates the proportion of in-store counter checkouts versus online click-and-collect orders processed through POS registers.

Recommended Action:Filter transactions by the orderChannel field to analyze customer channel preferences and optimize counter versus packing station staffing.
