Cash In / Cash Out (Cash Flow)
1. Overview & Purpose
What is POS Cash In / Cash Out?
2. When to Use Cash Flow
Small Change Float Mid-Day Replenishment (Cash In)
The register drawer runs out of small denominations (Rp 2.000, Rp 5.000 bills) during heavy morning traffic, requiring a Rp 200.000 cash injection from the back-office safe.
Emergency Store Expense Payout (Cash Out)
The cashier pays Rp 45.000 cash from the drawer for emergency ice delivery or store cleaning supplies, retaining the vendor physical receipt in the till.
Anti-Robbery Safe Drop for Excess Cash (Cash Out)
On-hand drawer cash exceeds store insurance policy limits (e.g. Rp 5.000.000) on a busy weekend evening.
Non-Revenue Drawer Balance Integrity Verification
Store accountant verifies whether end-of-day register cash differences were caused by operational payouts rather than transaction cashier errors.
Courier Cash-on-Delivery (COD) Remittance Inflow
An in-house delivery rider returns to the store after delivering local orders and remits Rp 450.000 in collected cash directly to the register cashier till.

Operational Best Practices
- Always mandate a physical paper slip kept inside the drawer for every Cash Out expense.
- Execute vault drops once drawer cash exceeds predefined thresholds to mitigate robbery risks.
